Job summary

Labcorp in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across diverse patient populations and locations.

You will collect specimens for drug screens and other tests, enter data accurately, and support billing and administrative tasks while providing exceptional patient service and flexibility to travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist.
• Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
