Job summary

Labcorp in Toledo, OH is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to perform blood collection across ages and ensure accurate labeling and timely processing of specimens.

You will collect samples for drug screens and tests, enter data, and assist with billing and clerical tasks while maintaining patient confidentiality. This role requires a HS diploma or GED, a phlebotomy certificate or training, and the ability to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience
• 6 months or more of experience working with pediatric patients

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
