Job summary

Labcorp in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team. This role performs blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods across all ages, travels to multiple sites, and implements accurate data entry and courteous patient service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy certification or training, or 6 months of experience. Preferred: 1+ year of phlebotomy. Schedule Mon-Fri 8:00am–5:00pm; OT may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Excellent patient service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Travel to additional sites when needed
