Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist in Wilson, NC for a Per Diem/Casual role with hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as needed. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, prepare specimens, enter data, and support billing and administrative tasks across sites.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy certification or training, and at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience; a valid driver's license and ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record; be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other duties as assigned
