Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join the ambulatory services laboratory team. Start times vary 7:00am to 9:00am, with rotating Saturdays and no Sundays, covering Park Ridge, Chicago, Buffalo Grove, Hoffman Estates, Lake Zurich.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred. 40 hours per week, full-time, with benefits eligible and competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy or related laboratory skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification and ensures safe collection.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens per protocol.
• Label and track specimens; ensure proper handling for testing.
• Perform limited testing under CLIA guidelines per policy.
• Answer calls and assist with inventory and Billing support.
