Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Float Phlebotomist to join our team across Nassau & Suffolk County, NY. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection, and data entry across multiple sites, with a schedule that includes weekdays and rotating Saturdays.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training (or 3 months of experience), and a valid driver’s license. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months of experience.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
