Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist III - Floater to support our client's healthcare facility in Lynchburg, VA. This is a 13+ weeks contract role with a high possibility of extension or conversion. Schedule: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM.

Local contract based in Lynchburg, VA. Pay range is $21 to $23 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Requires 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience, valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Minimum 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience – REQUIRED.
• Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Perform capillary collections when required.
• Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and initials, and obtain the required patient signature after venipuncture to confirm proper specimen labeling.
• Ensure specimen labels are accurate and applied in the patient's presence.
• Maintain accurate patient records and required documentation.

Duties:
