Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in safe and efficient pharmaceutical care across multiple locations, including acute, community, ambulatory, and specialty settings. This float position requires flexibility, with standard hours 0700–1530 and occasional holiday coverage.

You will assist with medication preparation, verify inventories, and communicate with caregivers while ensuring compliance with state laws, policies, and 340B/charging management.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all phases of pharmacy services under pharmacist supervision.
• Answers phones and provides excellent customer service.
• Collects patient information and maintains records as required by regulation.
• Prepares medication orders, performs calculations, and assists with compounding as appropriate.
• Maintains inventory and monitors controlled substances for security and cost efficiency.
• Supports quality and patient safety initiatives and communicates safety concerns to the pharmacist.
