Job summary

Genoa Healthcare seeks a Float Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health and specialty pharmacy, dispensing prescriptions and handling clerical duties under a Registered Pharmacist’s supervision.

Hours are Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:00pm EST. Base location is Worcester, MA with coverage at other central MA and Metro West sites as needed. Valid MA license and reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Massachusetts
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver’s license
• Ability to use own car to travel to other sites when needed

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
• Performs clerical duties related to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
