Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking a Float Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy. You will dispense prescriptions and handle clerical duties under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist across multiple IL sites.

Minimum 6 months experience and active IL license required; travel to Maryville and nearby sites like Granite City, Belleville, and Alton may be necessary. Flexible hours; 20 hours per week with potential growth.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Illinois.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Ability to use your own car to travel to the sites in IL
• Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
• Ability to float to all sites based on business needs as they arise
• Ability to flex up in hours as business needs arise
