Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Technician Float to provide clinical support across multiple physician practices in a designated coverage area. This role requires daily travel and adaptability to different clinical environments.

You will room patients, document vital signs and histories, perform medication reconciliation, support patient flow, and record data in EPIC-EHR. Excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No healthcare experience required; training provided.
• Valid driver's license.
• Travel daily between multiple physician practice locations.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work in EHR systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Document vital signs and patient information in the EHR.
• Collect and update medical, social, and family history information.
• Perform medication reconciliation and verify pharmacy information.
• Support providers with patient care activities.
• Ensure exam rooms are cleaned, stocked, and ready between visits.
• Coordinate patient movement and clinic workflow.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and front office tasks.
• Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Travel between multiple practice locations as needed.
