Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support patient examinations and treatments under the supervision of a physician or advanced practice clinician. Responsibilities include checking in patients, obtaining vital signs and med reconciliation, collecting medical history, expediting flow, and maintaining clinic supplies.
The role requires basic computer skills, BLS (or higher) within 90 days, orientation/externship on hire, and reliable transportation.

Job Description:
The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for the examination and treatment of patients under the direct supervision of the physician or advanced practice clinician.
Duties include but not limited to the following: check in patients, obtaining vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, pulse oximetry, temperature) and medication reconciliation, patient medical history information, expediting patient flow, rooming patients, stocking clinic with supplies, navigating electronic health record system (EPIC), and performing other non-clinical duties as needed.
The PCT will communicate in a respectful manner and will uphold Baptist's mission and core values that drive service excellence.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information.
Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate, within 90 days of hire.
Upon hire these disciplines will be required to attend orientation| externship and additional training as needed.
Must have own reliable, independent transportation
