Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for the Inpatient Rehabilitation department at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The role involves comprehensive patient evaluations, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary care coordination.

You will perform evidence-based interventions, document progress, and support discharge planning while maintaining HIPAA compliance and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution required.
• Master of Occupational Therapy preferred or educational requirements commensurate with date of graduation.
• Active Occupational Therapy license in the state(s) of employment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
• Maintains continuing education in accordance with applicable state professional standards

Responsibilities

• Age-Appropriate Patient Care: Provides care appropriate to the age of patients across the lifespan.
• Patient Evaluation and Care Planning: Evaluates patients’ abilities and develops individualized plans of care.
• Treatment Implementation: Performs therapeutic interventions and education.
• Goal Setting and Outcome Monitoring: Sets functional goals and monitors progress.
• Patient and Caregiver Education: Educates patients and caregivers about diagnoses and home programs.
• Professional Communication: Communicates with patients, caregivers, and team members.
• Documentation and Compliance: Completes evaluations, progress notes, education records, and billing.
• Environment and Safety: Maintains a safe treatment environment.
• Professional Development: Participates in continuing education and in-services.
• Operational Improvement: Identifies opportunities for efficiencies and manages caseload.
• Float Responsibilities: Eligible for Enterprise Float Program and adapts to various environments
