Job summary

Madison Health, Inc. in London, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant - Primary Care (Float) to support patient care and assist clinicians. This day shift role floats to locations as needed.

You will collect patient data, perform venipuncture and in-house tests, assist with exams and procedures, and ensure accurate registration and insurance information through IHIS. Excellent teamwork and patient-focused care are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred or equivalent experience in a primary care setting.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and staff in preparing patients for examination and procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and draw blood/serum specimens.
• Assist in direct patient care procedures and perform ECGs, pulse oximetry and spirometry.
• Greet patients, collect demographics and insurance data, and enter into IHIS.
• Schedule appointments and handle pre-authorizations with insurers.
