Job summary

Sentara Health in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking qualified Medical Assistants for a flexi/PRN Float Pool role. Primary work in Elizabeth City, Moyock, and Edenton, NC, with potential travel to Virginia Beach or Chesapeake. Must hold CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT-Basic and BLS within 90 days.

Base pay ranges from $21.69 to $32.14 per hour, with additional premiums as applicable. Ideal candidates have 1 year of clinical or administrative experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• 1 year of clinical or administrative experience.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and administrative/clerical tasks as directed by clinicians.
• Assist with exams, procedures, and basic clinical support.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality in all tasks.
