Job summary

Sentara Medical Group in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a full-time Float Pool Medical Assistant. Primary work in Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Chesapeake with travel to other areas as needed.

Must hold CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT-Basic and have 1 year of clinical or administrative experience; BLS within 90 days. HS diploma required; MA program preferred. Base pay ranges from $21.69 to $32.14 per hour with differential pay and solid benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT-Basic.
• 1 year of clinical or administrative experience.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and administrative/clerical tasks as directed by licensed practitioners.
• Work under supervision of Physician, NP/PA, RN, or LPN.
• Travel to Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake as needed.
