Job summary

Sentara Medical Group seeks a part-time Medical Assistant for a day shift with the Float Pool, 24 hours weekly in Virginia Beach, VA. Travel to Chesapeake or Norfolk may be required. Differential pay applies for travel and flexibility.

Responsibilities include patient care and administrative tasks under the direction of clinicians. Requirements: High School diploma, MA program graduate, CMA/RMA/NREMT-Basic, and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical or administrative experience (Required).
• Phlebotomy experience (Preferred).
• Active CMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required).
• BLS within 90 days of hire (Required).

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and administrative/clerical tasks under supervision.
• Assist physicians, NP/PA, RN or LPN as directed.
• Travel may be required to Chesapeake or Norfolk for coverage.
