Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Medical/Surgical Float Registered Nurse to provide patient care across Medical/Surgical, PCU, and Observation units. The role offers full-time day shifts with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00am–7:30pm, and weekend/holiday rotation.

In this role you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining documentation and compliance with regulations. A valid RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice is required.
• BLS certification is required; additional certifications may be required by area of practice.
• Minimum of one year RN experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, and educational needs and review history and data.
• Formulate a plan of care and discharge plan with realistic goals with patient/family and team.
• Implement care per physician orders, nursing plan, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate patient and family response and revise the care plan as needed.
• Document progress with objective and subjective data, interventions, and responses.
• Engage in evidence-based practice and quality improvement activities.
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed staff to ensure quality care.
• Interact with staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts to support care.
