Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for full-time night or day shifts in the Float Staffing department (ICU, ED, Medsurg) at UAB St. Vincent's St. Clair.

You will provide direct nursing care, implement care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary services, and ensure orders are carried out. A diploma in nursing and Alabama RN licensure are required, with BLS within 30 days and a preference for 12 months of experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school of nursing and active Alabama RN licensure.
• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care according to policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate care across disciplines and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient care needs with the healthcare team.
