Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking qualified nurses for Full-time Night and Day shifts in the Float Staffing department (ICU, ED, Medsurg) at UAB St. Clair location. Positions require a Diploma in Nursing, Alabama RN licensure, and BLS. Expect 12 months of experience preferred. Generous PTO and tuition reimbursement are among benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• Active Alabama nursing license or equivalent.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care following policies and procedures.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; observe and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate care across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess patient needs with the healthcare team.
