Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for full-time night or day shifts in the Float Staffing pool (ICU, ED, Med-Surg) at UAB St. Clair location.

Provide direct nursing care, coordinate multidisciplinary care, implement and monitor care plans, and document patient conditions in accordance with our policies and procedures. Requires a Diploma in Nursing, Alabama RN license, and BLS within 30 days; 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Alabama Board of Nursing licensure required prior to hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate care with all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders; assess patient needs with the healthcare team.
