Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join our Float Staffing team, working across ICU, ED and Med/Surg units at UAB St. Vincent's St. Clair. Full-time Nights or Days shifts are available, with possible 6:00–6:00 variations per unit.

Provide direct nursing care, implement care plans, coordinate with the health care team, and follow physician and nursing orders. A minimum of 12 months’ nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed by the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate care with all disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders.
