Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in a dynamic healthcare setting. The role involves implementing care plans, monitoring patient conditions, and coordinating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team. Full-time day and night shifts available, with potential 6:00–6:00 unit variations.

A minimum of 12 months of experience is preferred, and licensure requirements must be met. UAB St. Vincent’s St.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date required.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing required before hire/transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with the healthcare team.
