Job summary

Brighton/Suncrest Hospice is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Float to provide resident care under the direction of a Case Manager/DON, following assessments, care plans, and nursing policies.

You will collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and STNA leadership; maintain safety standards; and strive to improve quality of life while driving to assignments with reliable transportation. This role supports a community-focused hospice team in Ohio.

Qualifications

• STNA float nursing assistant certification required in state of practice.
• Ability to work under supervision and with a care team.
• Willingness to drive and maintain reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care to assigned residents per assessments and care plans.
• Coordinate with licensed staff to ensure appropriate care and safety.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and leadership.
• Work independently and as part of a patient care team.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

The State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Float position works under the direction of a Case Manager/DON and is responsible for providing resident care to assigned residents in accordance with resident assessments, care plans and as directed by nursing management. The STNA works with other licensed care staff to coordinate the proper types of care to residents and strictly follows all Company nursing policies and procedures as well as safety guidelines.

• Strong commitment to improving quality of life while partnering with our community organizations in patient care
• Ability to work well within a team environment to collaborate daily with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and STNA leadership
• Eager to gain higher level of opportunities such as certifications and further education
• Work closely with patients on a 1-1 level but get strong support from a patient care team
• Able to work independently and on your own from a day-to-day basis
• Must be willing to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• State Tested Nursing Assistant certification in the state(s) of practice
