Job summary

Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our team in the Cincinnati area. You're at the bedside in vulnerable moments, supporting patients and families with dignity and compassion.

The role requires 75 hours certification, an active STNA license with no restrictions, and 3–6 months hospice or home health aide experience. Interdisciplinary collaboration and care software use are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Ohio State Department of Health competency test with 75 hours
• Must be certified by the state as a nurse's aide with an unrestricted, active aide certification
• 3–6 months of current hospice or nurses aide experience required
• Hospice or Home Health Agency experience preferred
• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and caregivers
• Ability to learn clinical software and electronic medical records
• Must have reliable vehicle, license, and auto insurance to operate vehicle

Responsibilities

• Provide STNA care at the bedside within hospice settings
• Assist patients and families with daily living activities and comfort
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate documentation and electronic records
• Travel within a 50-mile radius of Cincinnati to serve patients
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, travel to the Cincinnati office

STNA Qualifications

• Must have completed an Ohio State Department of Health Competency Test from an accredited program with a minimum requirement of 75 hours of certification
• Must be certified by the state as a nurse's aide with an unrestricted, active aide certification
• 3-6 months of current experience as a Hospice Aide or Nurses Aide required
• Hospice or Home Health Agency experience preferred
• Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and their families, as well as all interdisciplinary caregivers, peers, subordinates, and supervisors
• Must exhibit or demonstrate the ability to learn computer skills related to required clinical software and electronic clinical record utilization
• Must have reliable vehicle/transportation, valid driver's license, required automobile insurance, and the ability to safely and independently operate said vehicle
