Job summary

AHL HealthCare Group in Minnesota is hiring Float Direct Support Professionals to train and work across our programs. DSPs act as advocates, supporters, educators, and caregivers for individuals with disabilities or mental illness in four-bedroom homes around Duluth, Hermantown, Two Harbors, and Saginaw.

Float DSPs rotate across programs with a week-to-week schedule and receive higher compensation plus mileage reimbursement, helping residents live safely and fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years or older.
• 1 year of experience working in the field.
• Ability to pass a MN DHS background study.
• Every other weekend availability required.
• Driver's license and ability to pass MVR check.
• Working mobile phone to be reached at during availability/scheduling window.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal cares, activities of daily living, grooming, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
• Demonstrating positive and supportive behavior with clients and coworkers.
• Medication administration.
• Documenting services daily in the electronic records and computer system.
• Socializing with residents and doing activities with them.
• Going to appointments with clients.
• Training in at all programs and filling in based on the schedule of the program.
