Job summary

St. Barnabas Health System is seeking a Float Certified Nursing Assistant to join our mission-driven team. You will work across multiple sites including Arbors Valencia, Arbors Gibsonia, and St.

Barnabas Nursing Home, with travel between locations required. Shifts are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with premium differentials for evenings and weekends. The role involves assisting residents with activities of daily living, medical assistance, and supportive care under the supervision of nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications expected.

Responsibilities

• Make regular rounds on residents checking location, safety and wellbeing.
• Assist residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, incontinence care, transferring and ambulation.
• Encourage residents to function at their highest level of independence.
• Deliver mail/newspapers to residents.
• Set dining tables and serve meals, deliver trays as needed.
• Assist Food Service with plating, cleaning tables and dishes.
• Assist with housekeeping: dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms cleaning.
• Transport soiled linen and deliver clean linens; manage laundry.
• Encourage participation in activities and help with programs.
• Document as indicated; provide medication and treatment assistance.
• Assist nurse with vital signs and blood pressure.
