Job summary

St. Barnabas Health System in Pennsylvania is seeking a Float Personal Care Attendant to support residents across multiple sites, including Arbors Valencia and Arbors Gibsonia. The role involves night and premium shifts with differential pay, ADL assistance, and teamwork across locations.

Responsibilities include rounds, meal service, housekeeping, laundry, activity participation, and documenting care. CPR/First Aid certifications are required. Travel between sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) assistance.
• Ability to accurately document resident care and services.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Make regular rounds on residents, checking location, safety, and well-being.
• Assist residents with ADLs, encouraging maximum independence.
• Deliver mail and newspapers to residents.
• Set dining room tables for meals as needed.
• Serve meals/snacks and deliver meal trays to resident rooms.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties (e.g., trash removal, cleaning, and bed-making).
• Manage laundry: collect, wash, dry, fold, and return resident laundry and linens.
• Encourage and assist resident participation in activities and recreational programs.
• Escort residents to and from recreational programs and assist during events.
• Accurately document resident care and services provided.
• Assist with monitoring and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
• Address and report customer service issues, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
• Attend and complete required in-service education and staff meetings.
