Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our float pool to support primary care physicians and deliver high-quality patient care in line with state guidelines. You will review and update health records, measure vital signs, prepare treatment rooms and perform clerical duties, with CMA certification to be obtained within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Requires CMA certification within 12 months of start date.
• BLS certification required at hire for most Mercy Health locations.
• One year of medical assistant healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service.
• Review and update patient charts and records.
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height).
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and assist providers.
• Handle clerical tasks such as inventory and referrals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
