Job summary

Encompass Medical Group in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time float position at our Wornall clinic. This role supports physicians, receptions, and ancillary services, maintaining patient flow and accurate documentation in the EMR.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, performing CLIA-waived tests, scheduling, and assisting with exams and procedures. A high school diploma and a certified Medical Assistant credential are required; a $500

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Complete a certifiable Medical Assistant course or other approved training.
• Maintenance of an active Medical Assistant certification required from a nationally recognized organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active medical assistant certification required from one of the following nationally-recognized organizations: NHA, NAHP, AAMA, AMT, NCPE, ARMA, NPS, NCCT
• Prepare and instruct patients for exams, perform procedures that include but are not limited to electrocardiograms, blood pressures, throat cultures, immunizations, dressing changes, suture removal, holter analysis, spirometry and other CLIA waived laboratory tests
• Maintain documentation of procedures in the EMR; record reason for visit and medical history while maintaining confidentiality
• Assist with coordination of care with outside consultants for additional patient care
• Assist with service area procedures when necessary
• Must be a great team player and work well in a team environment
