Job summary

Ciena Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee day-to-day office functions and assist guests and families with billing and insurance questions in a skilled nursing setting.

You will manage accounts receivable, handle daily cash deposits, bill payer classes, and work with Medicare/Medicaid processes while ensuring accurate trust account activity; effective communication with residents and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in AR in the long-term care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of PCC helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage the facility accounts receivable system.
• Record daily cash collections and deposits.
• Establish and maintain communication with patients and family members responsible for payment for patient care services.
• Generate timely billing of all payer classes for claims generated by the facility.
• Review the Medicare, Managed Care, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid UB, CHAMPS, WebDenis.
• Record deposits and withdrawals in Resident Trust.
• Close Resident Trust accounts timely and complete bank reconciliation monthly; Process Medicaid applications.
