Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Austin, TX is seeking a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to oversee maintenance and safety of our fleet. The role supports airframe maintenance and ensures timely, high-quality patient transport services.

Minimum qualifications include a valid A&P license, two years turbine helicopter experience, and knowledge of FAA regulations. Flexibility for overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations is required.

Qualifications

• A&P license required and turbine helicopter experience (2+ years).
• Familiarity with FAA regulations and EMS/maintenance systems.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules and on-call rotations.
• Must pass FAA drug and alcohol testing program.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, repairs, and provide status updates to Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks, update equipment tracking logs, and document expenditures.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information per policies and security standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment for aircraft maintenance and flight crew.
• Use effective communication to coordinate with departments, vendors, and team members.
• Collaborate professionally with AMTs, operations team, and allied health/public safety personnel.
