Job summary

Guardian Flight in Ketchikan, AK is hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) for a full-time role responsible for the maintenance and safety of our fleet, including King Air B200/B300 and Learjet 45 airframes.

The position offers a starting salary of $65,239–$137,122 annually, plus a Float stipend of $12,500, an IA stipend of $2,080 and a $12,500 sign-on bonus, with a 14 days on/14 days off schedule.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years turboprop and/or turbine powered fixed-wing experience
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
• Valid State issued Driver's license
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
• EMS Systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment; update the equipment tracking log; place replacement requests and document expenditures
• Document service paperwork and FAA information and adhere to policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew
• Communicate effectively to coordinate efforts between departments, vendors and team members
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and operations team
