Job summary

Guardian Flight in Ketchikan, AK is hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to maintain and ensure the safety of the fleet, including King Air B200/B300 and Learjet 45 airframes. This role supports timely patient transport and high-quality care across the air medical program.

The position offers a starting salary range with stipends, plus a 14 days on/14 days off schedule. Qualified AMTs will perform inspections, document FAA records, manage inventory, and work with multiple teams

Qualifications

• Three (3) years turboprop and/or turbine powered fixed-wing experience.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Valid State issued Driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge.
• EMS Systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime.
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service aircraft, perform inspections, and provide status updates to Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks and track equipment usage; submit replacement requests and document expenditures.
• Document service and FAA information per policy and ensure data integrity.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment for AMTs and flight crew.
• Communicate effectively to coordinate with departments, vendors and teammates.
• Collaborate with health and public safety personnel and operations staff.

• Starting Salary: $65,239 - $137,122 annually

We’re hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Guardian Flight. This technician will be qualified to support our King Air B200/B300 and Learjet 45 airframe. This is a key role toensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
• Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
• Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Three (3) years turboprop and/or turbine powered fixed-wing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• King Air B200, 300 and/or Learjet 45 maintenance experience or

• Related experience under CFR Part 14

• Avionics and electrical repair experience
