The role emphasizes translating analyses into design decisions, routine automation, and collaboration across teams to improve performance and reliability of space systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience with Python, MATLAB, and EES.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the thermal design of spacecraft, launch-vehicle, and hardware end-to-end from concept to validation.
• Translate analyses into design decisions for materials, coatings, insulation, interfaces, and TCS architecture.
• Automate workflows to reduce engineering effort in the design cycle.
• Pursue performance and robustness improvements in hardware.
• Aim for operational simplicity and reduce burden on other groups.
• Produce quality documentation to improve efficiency.
• Review peer work.
