Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Flight Test Technician at Edwards AFB, CA. The role is 100% on-site with work on aerospace systems, deployments, and flightline operations. Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance or higher and be able to obtain SAP access.

Multiple shifts available; travel limited. Responsibilities include testing, installation, modification, and maintenance of complex aircraft systems, interpreting schematics, and performing inspections.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher clearance.
• Ability to obtain Special Programs Access (SAP) prior to employment.
• High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of related experience in aircraft systems.
• Related experience in aircraft electrical systems, structures, or flightline operations.
• Willingness to perform moderate strenuous physical work and work in diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, install, modify, and maintain aerospace systems and ground support equipment.
• Operate ground equipment and perform pre/post-use inspections; service fuel, lubrication, cooling.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings to fabricate and assemble needed fixtures.
• Conduct testing and report data in prescribed formats; follow safety guidelines.
• Be flexible with schedules, including extended shifts, holidays, and weekends.
