Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Test and Evaluation organization seeks a Staff Test Pilot for developmental testing of military aircraft at Edwards AFB, CA. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and evaluating test flights with flight test engineers and customers, ensuring airworthiness and testing compliance.

Required are a secret clearance, FAA instrument rating, 1500+ PIC hours, TPS graduate, and readiness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree plus 12 years of related experience (or advanced degree with commensurate experience).
• Must have active US Government secret clearance.
• FAA commercial Multi Engine instrument rating required.
• 1500+ hours of flight experience as PIC.
• Current FAA Class II Medical or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide test pilot expertise to assigned programs and ensure air vehicle safety.
• Plan, develop and execute test flights to verify airworthiness and performance.
• Collaborate with Flight Ops Manager and Engineering for safe operations.
• Coordinate with customer pilots and program IPTs for effective testing.
• Contribute to test plans, reports, and test product development.
