Job summary

Amentum in California seeks a Maintenance Test Pilot (UH-72) to perform test flights and certify airworthiness after maintenance or modifications. The role demands extensive aviation maintenance experience, flight proficiency, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include conducting test flights, documenting results, weight and balance, and coordinating with pilots and technicians. Travel may be required; a Secret clearance is needed for some sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of aviation maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in operating UH-72 aircraft recommended.
• Must meet AR 95-20 qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform test flights and demonstrate aircraft proficiency after maintenance or modifications.
• Determine airworthiness and file flight plans as required.
• Troubleshoot aircraft on ground and in flight and document deficiencies.
• Coordinate with pilots and technicians and maintain records.
