Job summary

Science and Engineering Services, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Test Pilot for UH60A/L/M in Huntsville, AL. This full-time on-site role focuses on flight test techniques to measure performance and handling to determine airworthiness after maintenance or modifications.

Applicants must hold FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot certificates with the appropriate ratings, and be qualified in Army trials; IP/ME dual-qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and the appropriate category, class, and type ratings.
• Graduate of the Army Maintenance Test Pilot Course OR equivalency evaluation by DES, Army Aviation Center of Excellence, Ft. Novosel, AL
• Must be able to maintain FAA CL II medical certificate
• Must meet all Army initial aircraft qualifications
• Must be qualified in mission, type, design, and if appropriate, series of aircraft
• Dual-qualification as IP/ME preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs flight readiness inspections, completes maintenance forms and aircraft log books
• Flight tests the applicable aircraft to determine airframe, power plant, accessories and items of equipage functionIAW predetermined requirements
• Performs maintenance operational checks of aircraft on the ground through engine run-up, aircraft taxiing or use of auxiliary power or testing equipment, to assure repaired items function
• Performs general maintenance operational test flights to prove airworthiness of the complete aircraft
• Completes test flight check sheets IAW the applicable maintenance manual
• Performs limited test flights to prove proper functioning of specific items/components
• After each test flight, performs thorough visual inspection to detect and correct deficiencies
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education

FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and the appropriate category, class, and type ratings

Army MTP Course or DES equivalency

FAA CL II medical certificate

Army initial aircraft qualifications

Mission/type/series aircraft qualification

Dual-qualification as IP/ME preferred
