Job summary

Amentum is seeking a LUH-72 Functional Check Flight Pilot to perform pre-flight checks, execute functional flight tests, and assess airworthiness after maintenance or modifications at Polk, LA. The role requires expert flight operations and adherence to Army/FAA medical and certification standards.

Responsibilities include planning and filing flight plans, computing weight and balance, coordinating with pilots and technicians, and ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with applicable

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Proficient in flying operations of LUH-72, EC145.
• Current ARMY or FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
• Instrument rating on FAA Commercial Certificates.
• Must meet AR 95-20 qualification requirements.
• Currency per AR 95-1.
• Annual flight evaluation per AR 95-1.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Security Clearance (NAC-I T1).
• Must complete flight physical exams as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Functional Check Flights (FCFs) and demonstrate aircraft proficiency after maintenance or modifications.
• File flight plans for missions and sorties.
• Compute weight and balance logs for the aircraft.
• Coordinate with military pilots and technicians; document FCF completion and discrepancies.
• Plan and conduct aircraft technical inspections and verify compliance with manuals and checklists.
• Perform ground and flight troubleshooting and report deficiencies.
