Job summary

Air Force Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base is seeking a Full-Time General Engineer (NH-0801-03) to provide engineering expertise for planning, provisioning, conducting, evaluating, and reporting open air, installed vehicle, and hardware-in-the-loop tests of air vehicles. You will help plan, execute, and report test activities and ensure technical validity and safety.

Qualifications

• ABET Accredited BS in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering Degree.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Combined Test Force (CTF) Participant in the development of overall plans and as flight test aircrew to ensure proper execution of test objectives.
• Forms, directs, interprets, and applies test planning and philosophy to ensure technical validity and safety in test and evaluation of multiple weapon system architectures.
• Implements an integrated approach to test activities, identifying factors affecting test safety, participating in test planning efforts, and presenting engineering reports.
• Develops and presents engineering and program review reports and conducts briefings to leadership and dignitaries as required.
