Job summary

Air Force Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base seeks a Full-Time General Engineer (NH-0801-03) to provide engineering expertise for planning, conducting, evaluating, and reporting open-air and flight test activities. The role supports test integration, mission planning, and manages safety and technical credibility across multiple weapon system tests.

The position requires ABET-accredited engineering education, potential flying duties, and a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from ABET-accredited college or university.
• Must be able to obtain Top Secret security clearance with SCI access.
• This is a designated Drug Testing Position.
• FAA medical and flight qualifications may be required for flying duties.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Combined Test Force (CTF) Participant in developing test plans and as flight test aircrew member.
• Directs test planning and philosophy to ensure safety, efficiency, and credibility in test and evaluation.
• Implements an integrated approach to test activities, including safety factors, planning, reports, and trade-offs.
• Develops and presents engineering and program review reports and conducts briefings to officials.
