Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Systems Test Engineer in Colorado to lead the qualification of flight software across the full lifecycle, from architecture through system bring-up. You will own test case definition, V&V matrices, and automated qualification suites on hardware-in-the-loop setups, coordinating across software and systems teams.

The role requires embedded software verification depth, experience with hardware interfaces, and the ability to guide teams toward delivery

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing, systems integration, or software development.
• Proficiency creating automation scripts in Python, C++, or C.
• Experience defining test plans and verification matrices.
• Experience with software integration, debugging across hardware/software interfaces.
• Comfortable in Agile Scrum environments.
• Ability to obtain Interim Top Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software and systems teams to define test cases.
• Verify requirements and map to test procedures.
• Qualify flight software using HIL simulators and flight-like hardware.
• Develop test frameworks and automation scripts.
• Isolate, reproduce, and log defects with engineers.
• Analyze telemetry data to verify performance during tests and simulations.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate testing.
• Author formal test plans and verification reports.
