Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. seeks an experienced Software Engineer III (Embedded) to develop unmanned and robotic systems for defense and commercial use.

You will write software for embedded devices and flight-test environments, designing, coding, testing and debugging to improve efficiency, stability and scalability of the software on target hardware. The role involves integrating sensors with embedded processors, prototyping software, and ensuring proper configuration control.

Qualifications

• BS degree required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum of 5 - 8 years of relevant experience.
• Expert with Python, C, C++11, C++ STL and/or OpenCL.

Responsibilities

• Writes and tests software to support integration of sensors and embedded processors into aircraft or other robotic systems.
• Designs and implements software for prototypes and products using established tools and practices; ensure configuration control.
• Assists in writing system requirements, test plans, diagnostic tools, and validation testing of software; assists with hardware selection.
• Development supports rapid prototyping and conceptual testing; estimates time to develop and scopes depth of development.
• Provides development updates and milestone estimates to track progress and meet schedule.
• Troubleshoots complex systems from a software perspective with hardware diagnostics; supports flight test operations.
