Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Build Reliability Engineer to drive the reliability of flight components and assemblies from design through production. You will use data to identify reliability drivers, work with design and manufacturing, and help the team achieve lean, scalable quality improvements.

You will spend time on the factory floor, in the lab, and in the office, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to reduce risk and improve manufacturability for Falcon/Dragon flight

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics required.
• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field preferred.
• Experience applying quality tools and process controls in high‑volume settings.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design engineering and manufacturing to create quality plans for flight hardware.
• Develop and validate lean test and inspection processes to meet quality goals.
• Monitor product/process performance during ramp‑up with quality tools.
• Lead regular build quality reviews and drive risk reduction in designs and processes.
• Investigate failures to determine root causes and mitigate reliability risks.
