Otto Aerospace LLC is seeking an engineer to bring up SNV hardware and orchestration software in our Costa Mesa lab. You’ll wire cameras, displays, and compute nodes, and write cross‑platform automation to keep everything in sync.

You’ll own the media pipeline, perform verification, and document interfaces and BOMs. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands‑on experience is required, with 3–5+ years in hardware/software integration and a strong Python background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Aerospace or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3–5+ years integrating hardware and software systems.
• Strong Python, and familiarity with TS/JS, Rust, or C/C++.
• Experience with lab hardware, HDMI/DP, networking, and power/UPS.

Responsibilities

• Integrate SNV hardware in the Costa Mesa lab from power-on to full playback.
• Develop and debug orchestration software: Python, React/TS, Rust services, automation across OSes.
• Own media pipeline: mpv/VLC, ffmpeg, HEVC/H.264, 4K/8K layouts.
• Document interfaces, BOMs, cables, and configuration control.
• Support verification and artifacts for DO-178C/DO-254 as needed.
