Otto Aerospace in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks an engineer bridging hardware and software for the SuperNatural Vision (SNV) cabin system. You’ll wire cameras, displays, compute nodes, and write orchestration code to drive synchronized, high‑resolution visuals.

You’ll own integration from lab bring‑up to flight‑worthy production hardware, work across Windows/macOS/Linux, and contribute to certification artifacts DO-178C/DO-254. On‑site presence required.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years hardware/software integration experience.
• Strong Python and cross‑platform development skills.
• Experience with cameras, displays, compute boards and lab instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and bring up SNV hardware in the Costa Mesa lab.
• Build and debug orchestration software (Python, React/TypeScript, Rust).
• Own the media pipeline end to end (mpv/VLC, ffmpeg, HEVC/H.264).
• Wire, label, and document the physical system (HDMI/DP, USB, Cat6).
• Stand up X-Plane 12 simulation environment for wall testing.
