Job summary

Vast is recruiting for an Integration Engineer, Avionics Test to drive the development and execution of human-rated vehicle test processes as Haven-1 moves from design to flight readiness. This is a full-time, exempt role based in Long Beach, CA.

You will lead test plan development, collaborate with multiple engineering teams, and ensure safety and quality across flight hardware testing. A BS in engineering with hands-on experience in fabrication or integration is required; experience with NX,

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing or electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Manufacturing experience managing a product line across multiple work centers and/or departments, involving design, manufacturing, or test.
• 2-4+ years of experience for Manufacturing Engineer II; 4-6+ years for Senior Manufacturing Engineer.
• Hands-on fabrication, assembly, and/or integration experience; CAD proficiency (NX preferred).
• Experience with aerospace hardware, safety-critical or high-reliability systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test procedures for flight hardware.
• Evaluate testing processes for safety, quality, function, and efficiency; rectify as needed.
• Plan technical and logistical details to enable efficient tests.
• Enable day-to-day execution of vehicle integration and test flow.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to define/test plans and schedules; manage risk.
• Act as test director and exercise technical authority for testing events.
• Disposition non-conformances and perform corrective actions with engineering judgment.
