Job summary

Mclaurin Aerospace seeks a Project Engineer - Flight Projects to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. You will collaborate with a diverse, passionate group to envision, shape, and deliver flight systems that enable deep-space exploration.

Responsibilities include developing project documentation, managing drawings and procurements, coordinating with design and analysis teams, inspecting hardware on receipt, building test rigs, analyzing data, and supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; 2–5 years of related experience.
• Experience with requirements documents and verification criteria.
• Space hardware design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and engineering drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop project documentation and track drawings, procurements, risks.
• Collaborate with design and analysis teams to meet requirements.
• Inspect hardware on receipt against drawings/models.
• Build test rigs and analyze test data.
• Support configuration control of project documentation.
• Develop test procedures and coordinate flight certification activities across NASA/JSC.
• Coordinate with ISS vehicle office for integrated operations.
• Prepare presentations and report progress to team lead.
• Work in a team environment and provide status on progress and issues.
