Job summary

Mclaurin Aerospace seeks an Electronics Design Engineer to support NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX, under the JETS II contract. You will lead and collaborate with a team of electronics professionals to design, analyze, and test space-qualified systems for exploration missions.

Responsibilities include developing PCB designs, LabVIEW test code, and verification procedures, while ensuring compliance with NASA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; master's preferred.
• Experience leading a team of electronics design engineers.
• Experience with circuit design of analog, digital and power PCBs.
• Experience with electrical schematic entry and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer) and SVN.
• Experience with data acquisition systems (National Instruments) and LabVIEW.
• FPGA design and VHDL development in Xilinx Vivado for space.
• Embedded systems development with microcontrollers and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Electronics and Electrical Section Manager as part of a group of engineers.
• Lead or contribute to projects with Electrical Engineers.
• Support new designs from conception to deployment and testing.
• Provide design support for Electronics System Development.
• Develop LabVIEW code for test systems and verification procedures.
• Collaborate with technicians to build and test systems.
• Develop and test breakout boxes and sensor emulation systems.
• Perform PCB design for space applications and test software modules.
